Overview

Infiniti says the FX is one of the most radical expressions of sport and utility available today. The 2010 Infiniti FX is luxury crossover SUV that offers some of the best qualities of a car and an SUV, all in one package. The 2010 Infiniti FX is offered in three models, including FX35, FX35 AWD, and a new 5.0-liter V8-equipped Infiniti FX50. This premium crossover SUV featuring big, powerful brakes and firm, fully independent suspensions, can be driven much harder than the traditional sport utility vehicles. For 2010, standard Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System on all models, the addition of a standard USB Connection Port for iPod and other compatible devices, the addition of a 2.0GB Music Box hard drive to the Bose Premium Audio system (on vehicles without navigation) and simplified exterior/interior color combinations are new. Further, the FX?s available Infiniti Hard Drive Navigation System has been enhanced for 2010 with the addition of an in-dash single disc DVD audio/video drive, streaming audio via Bluetooth, Zagat Restaurant Guide and XM NavWeather (along with the previously available XM NavTraffic).

Power and performance

Power for the Infiniti FX35 comes from a 3.5-liter V6 engine, which pulls out 303 horsepower. The FX 50 equipped with 5.0-liter V8 offers outstanding power output - 390 horsepower and 369 pound feet of torque - a high rev limit, a powerful engine sound from a specially tuned exhaust and improved fuel economy. Both the engines are teamed with a new electronically controlled 7-speed automatic transmission that features a manual shift mode. Manual shift mode offers sequentially selectable manual gearshifts and downshift rev matching.

Body and styling

Every FX is adorned with dark chrome front grille, high Intensity discharge bi-functional xenon headlights, LED stoplights and center high-mounted stoplight, dual heated power-adjustable and folding outside mirrors, front driver and passenger LED puddle lamps and dual chrome exhaust finishers. Standard leather-appointed interior, leather-wrapped 3-spoke steering wheel and shift knob with aluminum accent, 60/40-split folding rear seatbacks including remote fold-down releases in cargo area are designed every bit to give you a luxurious feel. Power sliding glass moonroof with one-touch auto-open/close, tilt feature and sliding sunshade, dual zone automatic temperature control system with microfiltration,11-speaker Bose Premium audio system with Burr-Brown DAC, AM/FM/CD with MP3 playback capability and Radio Data System are also standard.

Infiniti FX is a safe vehicle equipped with standard anti-lock brakes, traction control, stability control dual-stage supplemental front air bags with seat belt sensors and an occupant-classification sensor, driver and front-passenger seat-mounted side-impact supplemental air bags, roof-mounted curtain side impact supplemental air bags with rollover sensor for front and rear-seat outboard occupant head protection, front and rear head restraints, height-adjustable 3-point rear seat belts with ELR (Emergency Locking Retractor) /ALR (Automatic Locking Retractor).
