The engine is the same in all three trim levels of the QX50 this year. It is a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces a maximum of 268 HP at 5,600 RPM. It also has a top torque production of 280 LB-FT at a range between 1,600 and 4,800 RPM. The engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission. It has a multi-drive select mechanism that provides better control based on road conditions. Front-wheel drive is standard.
Appearance
Both crossovers have a distinct, sophisticated exterior style that turns heads. The QX60 features LED daytime running lights and LED brake lights. Integrated LED fog lights are also part of the crossover’s package. The lights also come with an automatic on-off feature. A moonroof is standard on all trim levels, and a panoramic moonroof with a sunshade is optional. Dark chrome accents accentuate the front grille, door moldings, and fog lamps. A power-operated rear liftgate is standard, and a motion-activated liftgate is optional. Roof rails are standard on some trims and auto-dimming side mirrors are optional. Automatic LED lights are also standard on the QX50. This trim also has integrated LED fog lights. A panoramic roof is optional on the higher trim levels.
Features
When it comes to features, both crossovers are well-equipped. Three-zone climate control is standard across the board with the QX60, and it’s offered on the higher trim levels of the QX50. The seats are heated in both models, and there are plenty of cup holders available to store beverages. Reading lights are standard in the front and back rows. Leather seats are standard on both crossover SUVs, and heated seats are optional on select trim levels of the QX50. Heated front seats are standard on all QX60 trim levels and optional for the back row.
