At Holman INFINITI, many of our customers inquire about the updates that have been made to the 2020 INFINITI Q50. This is a compact executive sedan that beautifully incorporates high-end luxuries into a performance-driven vehicle. The first Q50 was offered in 2013, and the model entered its second generation a few years later. Upon comparing the 2019 INFINITI Q50 to the 2020 model, you will immediately discover that they are a part of the same generation and have almost identical facades. Nonetheless, several differences exist that may impact your purchase decision.
The 2019 model was offered in a base 2.0T Pure trim option, but this is no longer available for 2020. In the latest model year, the base trim is a 3.0T Pure trim that is outfitted with a V6 engine. With this powertrain, you can appreciate 300 horsepower. The 3.0-liter, V6 engine is standard in the Luxe and Sport trims as well. The top-of-the-line Red Sport 400 trims come with a similar powertrain with enhancements that elevate its capabilities to 400 horsepower. With a visit to Holman INFINITI, you can test drive the current powertrain options and the 2.0-liter turbo engine that is available as a base powertrain in the 2019 model year.
With no significant differences between the exterior design of the 2019 and 2020 Q50 versions, you can appreciate the same gorgeous façade regardless of the vehicle that you select. On a trim-by-trim level, there are variations in the wheel design and size options. The sunroof is standard at the Luxe trim level and higher. All trims boast chrome accents around the windows, a clam-style hood, powerful contouring that illustrates movement, slight definition over the front wheel fenders, flared LED headlights, and other features that culminate to deliver unrelenting style.
Between the 2019 and 2020 model years, the primary improvement to the lengthy list of available and optional features in the Q50 is found in the center stack. Both model years come with a robust infotainment system and a color display screen. This screen delivers controls for the smartphone apps and the navigation system. In the 2020 Q50, the smartphone app interface has been dramatically improved to bolster functionality. Across the years, the Q50 may be outfitted with a premium Bose sound system, leather seats with heating, memory functions, ProAssist safety technologies, remote entry, rain-sensing wipers, an automatic climate control system with multiple zones, a push-button starter, advanced cruise control, HomeLink and numerous other items that you may prefer to have in your next executive car.
